Smart Cycling Traffic Skills 101 Course Offered March 2, 2019 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Smart Cycling Course includes tips and techniques that increase the benefits of vehicular bicycling and stay safe while you’re doing it. Vehicular cycling (also known as bicycle driving) is the practice of riding bicycles on roads in a manner that is in accordance with the principles for driving in traffic. The course combines online instruction with parking lot and on-road practice of vehicular bicycling principles. Smart Cycling 101 Require all participants to have: a bicycle in good working order, font white light and red reflector (red light recommended), bike helmet. Full water bottle recommended. Course is for ages 16 and up.

The Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation will be hosting a League of American Bicyclist Certified Instructor Seminar October 4-6, 2019 at Henry Horton State Park. The Foundation offer scholarships to Tennessee candidates for the registration cost. Candidates are responsible for Membership to the League and their own housing. A limited number of scholarships are available. LCI information and scholarship application is attached.
